One customer was able to ingest eight simultaneous feeds with this card without an increase in CPU usage, whereas previously they were unable to run more than two cameras without the computer becoming bogged down. However, the installation process was difficult for some users as the drivers were not provided in the box and are not obviously available on the website. The card is compatible with Linux, but Blackmagic recommends using a PCI Express 8 lane generation 3 compatible with an 8 or 16 lane PCI Express slot. It can record playing PS4 Pro at 4K60. The card is full size and requires an external device to convert to a Thunderbolt cable to be used with a MacBook Pro. The HDMI output compatibility guides at Atomos should also be checked before purchase for issue resolution. The majority of customer reviews are positive, and the product is seen as a good quality and reliable solution for capturing HDMI inputs.
