The DepthTrax 2B Boat Mount In Dash Digital Depth Finder is a great little depth gauge that can be used on aluminum pontoon boats. The LCD screen is readable in daylight, comes with a sun cover and is polarised and readable with sunglasses. The device is easy to install, Consuming 0.1 amps and comes with a bracket for mounting to the transom. The transducer is able to read through the hull or mount outside the boat on the transom in contact with the water. Users have reported that the device can read well up to 100 to 125 feet in depth but may get spotty beyond that and loses signal at higher speeds. The shallow water alarm is easy to use and hear, and the cord is long enough to mount the gauge in the bow or rear of the boat.
