The Rockler 422866 Router Table Box Joint Jig is a tool designed to make finger joints or box joints. To ensure compatibility, the near edge of the router table's miter track must be between 4-1/2'' and 6-1/4'' from the center of the router bit. Although it comes with a 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch key, other sizes in between can be fabricated using hardwood or metal. The jig must be adjusted to dial in on the correct size for the interlocking joints before clamping it tightly. It is a little tricky to use, but when set up correctly, it's easy and accurate. Waste material tends to build up under the jig sled and must be cleaned out after each side of the work is cut. Some users had success with the Brass spacers to help make the process easier to set up.
