藤本国彦 (Editor) Format: Print Magazine History & Criticism Editorial Review

**** The enthusiasm from fans poured into the latest release in the "and the Beatles" series, focusing on Badfinger, marks a significant moment for music enthusiasts. This special issue not only celebrates the iconic band's tragic narrative but also shines a light on their profound musical contributions, often overshadowed by their turbulent history. Readers appear particularly enchanted by the depth of insight provided regarding not just Badfinger but also their connections to the Beatles and other surrounding artists. The exploration of Badfinger’s story—its highs, lows, and the emotional undertones of their music—offers an authentic look at a band whose legacy is often eclipsed by their struggles. Fans have praised the thoroughness of the album explanations, indicating they are both engaging and educational without being overwhelming. While the production choices, including the decision to limit color pages and maintain reasonable pricing, received mixed feedback, many appreciated the focus on content quality over frills. The book evokes nostalgia for long-time fans while simultaneously drawing in new listeners eager to discover or rediscover Badfinger's noteworthy catalog. Overall, this volume has been well-received by those familiar with the band's history, with believers advocating for their reclamation from the shadows of tragedy into the spotlight they rightly deserve. **
